Just dropping in to make sure to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY, fenwic!

Oh, fennie. How I love you. I met you in person many, many years ago, I think down in Louisville. You were funny and cute and oh so very nice. And now, these many years later, you're still funny and cute and oh so very nice. In fact, much like others have said, I think you just may tie for the title of Nicest Person Ever with sunbrae. (Personally, I want to see you two battle it out, complete with hair-pulling. But I think you may win, because you've been nicer longer. That is, unless you were actually the antichrist as a child, but a near-death experience or something otherwise traumatic caused you to change your evil ways. I really don't see that happening, though, so you've got the extra experience to win the title out from under her.)

Anyway, to the gal who always has a smile, always sends postcards, and always thinks the best of everyone, may you have an absolutely wonderful birthday. May you be surrounded by friends who love you, gifts you deserve, and size-appropriate food. Happy birthday!

Aw, my timing is for crap, and yet, how can I not stop right now and say Thank You for your amazingly fabulous and hysterical and twisted and kind words and wishes? Although, I also feel the need to point out that I will never be as interesting as your segue guesses at. Nope, not so much evil as self-absorbed and occasionally petty, but I'm working on it. (Erm, not working on being evil so much as not being those other things.)

Anyway, you will always be on my postcard list, Darling E., and I'm so pleased to just still be here with you, and I hope to get to see you soon. Until then, I'm sending you love and good thoughts.
