Because I haven't seen a lot of talk about this on LJ, I wanted to pimp this out. If any of you are sitting around tomorrow night, not doing a hell of a lot of anything, check out SciFi's airing of three Jake 2.0 episodes, 8:00/7:00 pm. They'll be playing "The Good, the Bad, and the Geeky" (which is like a Popular mini-reunion), "Arms and the Girl," and "Last Man Standing." Basically, for any of you watching Ugly Betty and gushing about how adorkable Christopher Gorham is, Jake 2.0 is the show for you. It really should have been bigger (it was a victim of bad scheduling and not enough promotion), and it's a fun blend of action/sci fi silliness/comedy/romance. Yes, there IS romance. Trudge through the stuff with stupid Sarah, because when the Jake/Diane stuff starts up, it's good. Plus, they'll be showing the last four episodes that never aired in the US, which means SUPER Jake/Diane 'shipper stuff.

I'm just upset that I missed Bai Ling's episode. *sigh*

In the meantime, if you want to catch up on what you missed in last week's re-airing, you can check out this website, which is pretty much THE Jake 2.0 site. And then there's Geek Love, which is all about the Jake/Diane goodness. Hooray for geeks!

ETA: I totally didn't realize [livejournal.com profile] deeablo's Jake 2.0 recaps are still available online. Go forth and read about the tiny, tiny robots!

I really wish they'd release that show on DVD! They were airing it on High Def over on one of the HDTV channels last year, which made me really hopeful we'd finally get to see it available in a boxed set. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be happening.

You could always go to that Jake site, get the contact info, and contact the studio to push for the DVDs. If they don't know you want it, there's no incentive for them to put it out on disc.

I'm hoping that airing the show on SciFi, which totally hits the show's target audience, will garner some interest in the show on DVD>
