Fashion! Turn to the right...
I want to buy a dress. I want to be all flirty and girly and wear cute dresses. I also have a baptism/birthday party in two weeks, and I need to find something cute. The problem is that I'm not a small girl, and so my shopping opportunities are a bit limited. My old standby, Lane Giant (™
xica_s), has unfortunately taken a turn for the worse, and lately their clothes are quite hideous and bland. This has led me to do some window shopping online.

Right now this dress is my top choice. I love the colors, and they have it in my size. That said, I don't shop at Torrid often at all, so I don't know how their clothes may fit me. Luckily, it seems that the mall by my mom's house has just opened a store, so hopefully I can try some stuff on this weekend and see how their clothes work on me. But I really like this dress. It's just so summery!

I am also a big fan of this dress. It has cherries on it! Not quite summery, though. Still, super-cute!

And then there's this dress. I am IN LOVE with this dress. Unfortunately, it's $106. Ouch. Whenever I look at the price, in my head I hear my mother saying "I could make that dress for $20! I have a pattern just like that somewhere..." But this dress is just too adorable for words.

OMG, this dress kills me dead. But it's nearly $200. But isn't it just gorgeous??? It's obviously too fancy for just a summer dress, but it's SO AWESOME I want to die.
Then I found a store on eBay that has gorgeous little summer dresses as well. Check these out:

Add a light cardigan, and I could totally wear these to work, too. All of these dresses are between $25 adn $28, plus shipping. I'd snatch these up in an instant, except that the seller only takes PayPal, and I've never managed to get my PayPal account working properly. Yes, really. I'm so inept when it comes to all things PayPal. But aren't they cute?
ETA: I just bought the one in the last photo. Yay!

I really like the last one and the 2nd dress from the little eBay store.

That dress looks scarily similar to a dress I wanted for the Green Tie Ball last year but I ended up not going. I AM going this year though...where is that from?
That last eBay dress in too too adorable.
I can't help with the sizing at Torrid. I see things I like online but when I'm in the store I feel underwhelmed so I've never bought anything from there.
You're not as busty as me so perhaps try Ann Taylor Loft? I find things that fit me everywhere BUT the boobs so maybe you'll have better luck. They tend to be drowning in neutrals lately but their dresses are very very cute.

And I'm really seriously thinking about getting a few of those dresses off eBay. Two dresses there for the cost of one at Torrid, and the seller has a 97.5% satisfaction rate. As long as I could return them for a different size if they didn't fit, I think this may be the way to go.
As my mom always says, "You can't make a dress for that price!" Except that she probably could, but the pattern and fabric would have to be on sale.
