I've spent all day alternately doing freelance illustration work or mainlining the episodes I've missed of this season's How I Met Your Mother. Tomorrow is the season finale, which also may be the series finale. It's kind of a shame that I don't take more time to watch this show when it airs live, because it's really funny. And Alyson Hannigan isn't grating on my nerves like she was the first season. I think the character of Lily has kind of mellowed out into a human being, rather than just spastic Aly. And NPH really steals every minute of this show with his portrayal of Barney. The episode when he's on The Price is Right? Awesome. And this show ALSO made me enjoy the Proclaimers' "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" again, and I hate that song. So yeah, if this show gets cancelled, I'm going to miss it. Even though I can never find time to watch it when it airs...

...And I'm still convinced Robin should get with Barney. For real.

I think HIMYM is brilliant. I can't believe it's on the cusp of being canceled. The ensemble is great and the show takes risks, especially with linear narrative. And it had possibly the two funniest storylines of any show this year, both packed into the same episode. Slap bets! Robin Sparkles! Let's Go to the Mall! TODAY! I'll be upset if it's canceled. I can't imagine a world without Barney.

And I can't believe this show may get cancelled, too. It's a hell of a lot funnier than, say, The New Adventures of Old Christine, or Notes from the Underbelly, or definitely Two and a Half Men. How the hell does THAT stay on year after year, but HIMYM may get cancelled? It just ain't fair. People have no taste.

The Price is Right episode is still making me laugh - I keep thinking of the "tink" as young Barney tosses the baseball at the tv screen.

I love this show! Which, usually, is the kiss of death for sitcoms. Seems like I tend to enjoy shows that don't last.

You know how much I love this show and will be very, very disappointed if it gets cancelled. The Price Is Right episode was HILARIOUS. And I still have the Slap Bet/Robin Sparkles episode saved on my TiVo. Stupid CBS. They better not cancel this show. At least not until we see a Robin/Barney hookup and find out who the mother is!
