...I would just like to state that Hidden Palms is the new Young Americans (warning: music). Wooden acting? Check. Hero boy with a past that keeps him distanced from new, rich friends? Check. Crossdressing? Check. Parents who are either absent or can't relate to their kids? Check. Beautiful locale where the teens run free? Check. Overuse of music cues? Check. That whole "it's summer, so we'll throw any crap at our audience and SOMEONE will watch it" vibe? Check. Now if they'd just work in annoying voiceovers and potential incest, we're REALLY in business.

Seriously, it's ridiculously bad. And I think I kind of enjoy it for that.

And now, back to work.

I haven't seen the show but based on the previews I was like "Oh hai crappier re-tread of The O.C.. I never saw Young Americans though so I will defer to your more informed opinion. *g*

Young Americans is the worst crack you will EVER see on television. It is so awful and addictive, I can't even tell you.

We should borrow it from deeablo and watch it one Saturday.
