eee1313Today I'm going to go sign a bunch of paperwork and put an offer on a house. !!! Well, not a house per se, but a townhouse. The first one we looked at. We like it. It has what we're looking for, we both feel comfortable there, and it's in a nice neighborhood. I think it will be a good match. That is, if the sellers like our offer. The agent said that in this current market, asking for 3-4% off the asking price isn't uncommon. So we're hoping to get this place for the low 200Ks. Keep your fingers crossed that it takes.
I'm strangely not scared about this. Last night we went to my parents' house and showed them pictures of the house. They both liked it, and gave us tips for repainting and remodeling. And we're getting the names of their plumber and furnace guy, so I know that if we do get the house, we'll have good, professional, reliable people to help us. And Dad agreed to come along for the walk-through with the home inspector (again, if they agree to sell to us). So yeah, I'm actually pretty excited. Wish us luck!
