Going, going, gone.

My parents' house has sold. Yes, already. Two families were bidding on it, and the one that my mom liked better gave the better offer. $1500 more, 20% down, and an earlier move-in date. So closing on the house is September 6. Dang. They're going in to sign the paperwork this morning.

Mom's birthday is on Monday. I think I'm going to call Dad this week and see if we can arrange a birthday thing for Mom on Saturday. I want to get her Tim Gunn's book. Or maybe I'll get her Project Runway season one. Then she can have her love/hate relationship with Wendy Pepper forever. Heh. But either one would make her happy. Maybe I'll get her the book now and save the DVDs till Christmas.

In other news, this Thursday is yakgirl's 10th wedding anniversary. Wooooo! I can't believe it's been 10 years already. And I'm sure she can't, either. yakgirl, your card is in the mail. Hopefully the RI post office won't screw up and it will get there on time.

Anyway, I'm rambling. How are all of you?
