How is it that I've seen Return of the King about 12 times, but catching it on TBS tonight has left me a sniveling, snotty, crying mess? I knew that Frodo and Sam would remember the Shire on the side of Mount Doom, I knew that Theoden would have his dying words with Eowyn, and that Aragorn and Arwen would be reunited, and that Pippen would sing as Faramir rode out on his suicide mission, and that Frodo would go with the elves into the west. And yet I couldn't stop crying. What the hell? This is not a surprise to me! Stop crying! Sheesh.

...And damn, that continues to be one of the greatest movies I've ever seen.
