NPH loses an Emmy to that asshat, Jeremy Piven????? I am done with you, Emmys!

DONE WITH YOU!!!

If he had lost to Rainn Wilson, I'd be more understanding. But JEREMY PIVEN? This is not awesome. And the NPH was rocking it in a Prada tux and everything. AND he ended is interview with "Peace out, homies!" over on E! So WHATEVER, I'm done with this.

Now I will watch more Heroes. Greg Grunberg is my favorite.

I'm right with you. I couldn't decide between the NPH and Rainn, but would have been thrilled for a win by either of them. I deluded myself into believing that the Emmy voters would make this their "Hey, we actually got one right this year!" category. I mean, NPH and Rainn are head and shoulders about the other three nominees combined. What a freaking waste.

On the up side, Vanessa Williams didn't win, and that was all I wanted, because I could not stand seeing Jenna Fischer lose to her. I was basically, "If it can't be Jenna, DO NOT BE Vanessa." So, go on you, Jaime Pressly, because I am indifferent to you.

You know, I have to say that I LOVE Jaime Pressly on Earl. She consistently makes me crack up when I tune in, and I think she's greatly underrated as a comedic talent. So I was quite pleased to hear she won, because the woman is pretty much the funniest gal on TV.

And no offense to Jenna Fischer, who I think is great, but she didn't have the comedic chops to beat Jaime this season. I think Jenna did more "acting," but Jaime just had funnier material. And when it comes down to best actress in a comedy, I think how much you make someone laugh should definitely outweigh making people feel all emotional about the character. But that's just my perspective.

something that might cheer you up -

one of those tv tabloid shows, either inside edition or entertainment tonight, had NPH and the dude who plays the guy married to aly hannigan for a quick interview blurb a couple of weeks back, talking about the emmys. it went something kinda like this:

The other dude said, "He makes us call him 'America's Neil Patrick Harris.' NPH did a little tut-tut type thing, and he corrected himself, "Now it's 'America's Emmy-Nominated Neil Patrick Harris."

HEE! It was so funny.

also, NPH had a funny bit when he presented with cheerleader chick from Heroes, saying how everybody's favorite cheerleader turned 18, "You know that that means, don't you guys? That's right, one more voter." Hs is So. Cute.

I knew something wasn't right with the lineup on stage, but I couldn't put my finger on it until you mentioned it. Why would he not show up? Is he ill? Or just a jerk?

On that note, though! (And I've been meaning to ask you this for, oh, ever, so I am pleased that there is an appropriate entry in which to do so.) You know how you made that mix of music from season two? And how I was going to download it, but kept forgetting? (...you might not know that part...) Is there any way in hell you can upload it again? Or email me? Or some such? That would be wonderful.
