As it is officially December, I can officially start annoying people with holiday YouTube goodness. As much as I'd like to say that you'll get a video every day, I know that ain't gonna happen. But for today, enjoy this beautiful Christmas carol, which was first introduced to me by my sister,
yakgirl.
Yeah, like THAT'S not gonna be stuck in your head all day now. Mwa ha ha ha ha!
Anyway, we got our first actual snow here in Chicagoland this weekend. It was the hard, sleety, pelty snow that stings when it hits your face. No good. But later, it all turned to ice. Hooray? On Saturday night the sky was lit up with the bluish-white color of exploding transformers. I'm assuming the ice on the power lines was too heavy, and they knocked out the power for a huge section of the suburbs south of us. Thankfully we were all cozy inside, and everything melted by Sunday. I have bought a 50-pound bag of salt in preparation for the snow which we're scheduled to get tomorrow night.
I actually did some Christmas shopping this weekend, which makes me happy. Got some shirts for my dad, a bunch of small gifts for my coworkers, and another gift for the Scientist. (Neither of the other gifts I've gotten for his thus far are tangible, and I want him to be able to actually open something on Christmas day.)I still need to buy a birdhouse for my mom, as well as Romper Stompers for my older nephew. And I have no idea what to get the little guy. Man, Christmas shopping is easy when you can do it all online!
