Hi LJ people. I haven't updated in forever. I'm sorry. I've been busy. I read your posts, even if I don't comment. Half-assed, I know, but there you are.
Okay, so some quick stuff to touch on. I have NEVER in my life been more worried, concerned, angry, and optimistic about a Presidential race. I could go on a rant about, well, everything, but so many of you have already said what I want to say that it's just preaching to the choir at this point. And for those of you who are on board with McCain/Palin, well... To say we'll just have to agree to disagree is trite, but it's the best I can do. You know the adage, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. So I won't.
But I'll let CollegeHumor.com make a good joke of her in place of my ranting.
Thanks to
bdar for posting this first.
In other political news, I got a t-shirt featuring the image in this icon. My mother-in-law wants to borrow it on election day, as she is an election judge. Though she may get in trouble for it, so she's going to wear it under another shirt. My mother-in-law cracks me up sometimes.
What else, what else? We picked up Lego Batman for the PS2 the other day, as we still had money on our GameStop gift card. I am enjoying the game muchly. I think the Scientist gets bored with it fairly easily, though.
He picked up Chuck season 1 on DVD yesterday, and I've watched four episodes. It's a fun show. Very similar to Jake 2.0 on occasion. Especially the episode with the arms dealer -- hi, yeah, Christopher Gorham did it first. But still, there's Adam Baldwin, so it's not all bad.
What other TV shows have we been watching? Of course there's HIMYM, which really didn't zing any of my buttons the way I'd hoped it would. I'm just counting the episodes till Ted and Stella break up, because I'm still not buying it. And as someone on my flist said, if Barney/Robin become the next Ross/Rachel, I'm gonna kill someone. Overall, The Big Bang Theory was much more enjoyable to watch. When did THAT happen?
Oh, and then there's Heroes. I have no idea what everyone is thinking of the season opener, but this season COULD pull me back in. I was highly bored with last season, so having not!Niki and crazy religious Nathan and evil future Peter could fix that problem. We'll see.
Today I'm going to see Tropic Thunder again, this time with the Scientist and our friend Kelly. That should be fun. But that also means I have to get ready already. Later!
