Have y'all seen these promo pics for Tim Burton's new movie, Alice in Wonderland? OMG.

OMG.

This is some creepy shit, y'all. Creepy! What have they done to Johnny Depp? I seriously thought that was Elijah Wood. I can't believe Tim Burton managed to turn Johnny Depp into a creepy Elijah Wood-on-acid-in-clown-makeup Mad Hatter.

Of course, I'll be going to see this. But I'm probably going to have nightmares afterwards.

You're not the first person to say Madonna, either. If you wade through the comments (which are about the scariest kids' movies; Return to Oz seems to be the winner) you'll see some other people mention Madonna as well.

Seeing as how the book was written in a drug-fueled haze, it makes sense the movie would look like a drug trip as well. But damn, it looks creepy. I'm surprised it's being billed as "Walt Disney Pictures presents a film by Tim Burton: Alice in Wonderland." Back in the day Disney wouldn't even put their name to Nightmare because they thought it was too weird/scary for kids. Granted, it's been proven time and again that kids actually love this kind of stuff, but the movie still looks TRIPPY and I'm surprised Disney doesn't think this is too freaky for their taste.
