Weekend over.

eee1313The weekend's over. Boo. I could use more weekend.
This weekend was okay, I think. On Friday during the day, the Scientist was doing home repairs for his parents. I got home from work to find that he was still over there working, and so I went over to hang with the siblings-in-law and have dinner while the Scientist finished up. That was Friday.
Saturday the Scientist was at work during the day, so I spent the morning and afternoon taking down my Christmas tree and putting away Christmas stuff. Everything is now down, save for the bare tree which needs to be folded up and put back into its box, which is currently in the garage rafters. When the Scientist got home we decided to do the "date night" which we missed out on the night before. The cheapo restaurant we were hoping for had a HUGE wait, so instead we went to the sushi place nearby. We love this sushi place. It's all-you-can-eat for hella cheap, the rolls are great, the maki is great, everything is super fresh and tasty, and the manager always comes by and talks to us for a bit. This time we sat at the bar, which was entertaining because we could watch them make everything. We ate way too much, and I felt a bit ill (I'd had tummy troubles that day). Add on to that a lack of caffeine, and by the time we got home I felt like hell. So instead of going out to a movie or whatever, we stayed home. Way to ruin the night, eee. But it was still nice to hang with the Scientist.
Yesterday was the day of getting stuff done. I switched out all the summer clothes in my dresser for the winter clothes in the trunk at the foot of our bed. Then I put away two baskets worth of laundry. Then we went shopping for groceries. Then we played some PlayStation together, and I finished uploading all my music to my new iPod. Then we went back to the Scientist's parents' house, where he continued doing repair work, and I had his nephew Tyler show me his Club Penguin account online. (There's something really cute about watching kids play on the computer. I think it's the lack of hand-eye coordination with the mouse, combined with how serious they are about it that makes them so cute.) We ate dinner, his dad caught me up on the previous season finale of Chuck, and then we headed home to watch the season premiere. (As an aside, Chuck still makes me miss Jake 2.0. Not the same, but similar enough at times that I still get :\ face.)
This week should be relatively quiet. Tonight I'm heading to my BFF's place for the first time since she moved in. Dinner with her, and then tomorrow my parents are coming in sometime during the day. I have no idea if I'll see them or not. Other than that, it should be quiet until Friday, which is my sister-in-law J's birthday. That's really about it for me. Ho hum.
