I know everyone out there is watching White Collar, but I just haven't been sucked into it yet. As I explained to the Scientist earlier today, I think it's just that I need to see a few episodes back-to-back and I'll get sucked in. But while I didn't watch that show, I did catch the premiere of Covert Affairs. I think if it weren't for the casting of Christopher Gorham, I wouldn't care all that much. However, I love Christopher Gorham and want him to be successful so Jake 2.0 might someday be released to DVD so he can feed his adorable children. Also, there's Kari Matchett from Leverage as the lead girl's boss. And of course, Peter Gallagher. You can't go wrong with Peter Gallagher. Promos promised me Oded Fehr, so he better show up soon. In other words, I'm watching this show solely for the supporting cast thus far. Piper Perabo's just fine in the lead, but her character's just the most perfect CIA agent EVER, and if that trend keeps up I'll be tired of Annie right-quick.

Then there was Warehouse 13, which had Sean Maher and Jewel Staite guest starring tonight. HOORAY! I miss them on my TV. Though if Sean had to come back, I wish it weren't in an embarrassing purple suit. Underwear on the outside isn't a good look on ANYONE.

I think this show is quickly becoming one of my favorites, if not my favorite-favorite. As [livejournal.com profile] taraljc pointed out, the characters of Pete and Myka have evolved into such a good sibling relationship. It's just NICE to see a TV show where the guy and girl have an actual honest-to-goodness friendship and working relationship, without sexual tension playing a role in that. (See also: Hank and Divya on Royal Pains.) But Pete and Myka also bring the LOLs, so that's good, too. I'm glad that they're expanding the characters more, so that Leena is playing a bigger role this season. And I'm glad they've toned down Claudia a bit; she was a bit much when she first showed up. I'm just really liking this cast, and the mix of silly fun plots with occasionally dark scifi. At least W13 has made it to a second season, unlike the dearly departed Middleman. That show was definitely more in the goofy category, but somehow I think they'd work well as a double feature. Why don't I run TV, darn it?

Christopher Gorham. Love him. I feel bad that I deleted my Henry (Ugly Betty) icon, because Chris is too adorable.
