I got up an hour early to get to work an hour early. (Tonight is Tequila Book Club, which requires me to hitch a ride into the city with the Scientist, as I cannot drive myself home post-Tequila Book Club. He, meanwhile, is going to see Buried and meet Ryan Reynolds.) Anyway, getting up an hour early SUCKS when there's no exercising involved. Getting up an hour early and working out for 45 minutes makes me all chipper and perky and productive. Getting up an hour early and just slogging to work makes me feel like death. Booooo. Tequila Book Club better be worth it, y'all. ;P
In other news, there was TV last night. Covert Affairs While the TV promos made it sound as if the season finale was 2 hours long, it was really just 2 hour-long episodes. Hrm. In the first one, Annie goes to England, doesn't follow orders, and everything works out perfect for her. As always. Considering how often Annie doesn't follow protocol, WHY do they keep sending her out on missions? Jeeeeez. I'm so tired of Annie being Little Miss Perfect where everything goes her way, even when she breaks the rules. But Jai was pretty awesome with the gunfighting and all. And in the second episode, Ben returns. *yawn* Ben does not interest me. And Annie's a dumbass for hopping into bed with him again. I love how the promo for next season is all "Now that Ben's gone, will Annie have a place at the CIA?" I kind of hope not, because she's really not a good agent. Everything good that happens to her seems to be sheer dumb luck. Whatever. Loved Auggie looking out for Annie, though, as well as Jai coming in to take over the op with Ben in Sri Lanka. Jai is a MUCH more interesting character than Ben, so I'm hoping he gets more screen time from here on out. Also, his dad's the leak! What a jerk. And as always, Arthur and Joan KICK ASS. Seriously, they're awesome.
Warehouse 13 So the promised "character death" was Valda? Really? He's not a main character in the least. Boo, that feels like a cheat. Sad to see Mark Sheppard go, as I love his jerkwad ways on every show I've seen him in. (The poor guy is typecast, though.) Anyway, let's see, so HG Wells IS evil all along. I hope next season will be her running Warehouse 2 vs. the team running Warehouse 13. It'll be good vs. evil Warehouses! Fun. I like that the relationship between Mrs. Fredricks and the Warehouse is a bit like Pilot and Moya in Farscape. And I like that Pete's love of pancake houses is what saved them. Hooray for pancakes! Anyway, this show continues to amuse me, so that's good. Here's a question, though: where's Leena? They put the actress in the opening credits, but she's barely in any of the episodes. It's very odd.
I still haven't seen the finale of Eureka from last week. :\
