My mom has made absolutely gorgeous wall hangings for the nursery. I'll have to take pictures of them once they're up to share with you. Both are Beatrix Potter; one has Peter Rabbit and his mother with his siblings Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail. The other has Benjamin Bunny and Peter. They're awesome. She also made Beatrix Potter curtains. I can't wait to have everything up.

The baby is actually sleeping in her crib right now. This is the first time she's been in her crib since she came home.

The cat hasn't hissed at the baby once. She has, however, hissed at Mom.

The Scientist continues to be wonderful.

The baby continues to be wonderful.

That said, breastfeeding makes me feel a bit like a dairy cow, hooked up to a milking machine. Ugh. But as of Tuesday's doctor's appointment, she's just one ounce shy of her birth weight, so breastfeeding appears to be working.

Postpartum hormones are a bitch. One minute I'm totally fine, the next I'm in tears for no reason. But I'm aware of what it is and it passes, so I'm not worried. If this is still happening in three weeks, I'll be concerned then.

It's nice to connect with people online. It makes me feel like less of a shut-in. It'll be nice to climb stairs more than once a day, and to be able to drive a car again.

I hope you're all well!

Yay for cute little milking machines who are just one ounce shy of their birth weight. Does the machine make a vroom vroom noise when you use her?
