I went to C2E2 on Saturday, had a good time. It gets bigger and bigger every year. I knew it has a bigger budget this year when there was a DJ spinning in the hall for people waiting to buy tickets. At one point I believe Boba Fett was doing the Gangnam Style dance. o_O.

I got to see [livejournal.com profile] fishdoctorpost, [livejournal.com profile] aj, and the annual sighting of [livejournal.com profile] taraljc occurred as well. :) I went with the Scientist and his sister S, and she had never been before. She enjoyed it quite a bit. The two of them went to the Patton Oswalt panel while I walked the floor (and spent waaaaaaay too long at the BPAL booth buying stuff for me and [livejournal.com profile] liquidize). Later I got Ron Perlman's autograph (he was rather curt, but I expected that) and then went to his Q&A, which started slow and crappy but got better as it went on. He said the role he always wanted to play but never got was Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof. When his panel ended, they started playing "If I were a Rich Man" and he did the dance, which just blew everyone's minds. WTF, Ron Perlman??? Then more floor walking, more floor walking, meeting people, getting food, gawking at costumes, and finally the Kevin Smith event in the evening. Man, can that dude ramble. Two questions in and over an hour had passed. We ended up cutting out a bit early just to avoid the lines -- and get home to the baby, who'd been with my mother-in-law all day.

So overall, it was once again a good time. If anyone cares to see a few pictures, my flickr set is here. And now, off to bed.
