Stuff, again

This morning did not go well. I woke up after having dreamt all night that all my friends were breaking up and/or moving away. It's bad when you Wake Up Emo. So then I was getting ready for work, and the cat wanted to go in the yard, so I propped open the door for her. When I went to bring her in a few minutes later, she was nowhere to be seen. There was checking of the foliage in the yard, then checking the house, then checking under beds, in closets, under furniture, and she was nowhere. So then the Scientist got dressed and came to help look, and the house was checked twice more, and then we wandered around the neighborhood because we couldn't find her and we thought maybe she had squeezed under the gate. And the cat was nowhere to be found. At this point I'm nearly hyperventilating, and I'm red and trying not to cry and I'm sweaty because of freaking out, and the cat is STILL nowhere to be found. 15 minutes after I was supposed to have left for work, the Scientist found the cat. She was inside the house somewhere, presumably hiding in the bathtub, which was the one place I didn't look. STUPID CAT. Of course, I burst into tears when she was found. I am beyond relieved that she's okay and never got out of the yard in the first place, but from now on she's only going outside when she's being supervised, because I am NOT going through that again.
Yesterday the Scientist and I went to get new phones. We're both on T-Mobile, but our phones are so obsolete that they aren't capable of doing the MyFaves deal. So in order to get that program, we need new phones. We went to Sam's Club to check prices there, and phones were half of what T-Mobile was offering online, so we were like "Yay, new phones!" Except for some reason, the T-Mobile account that Sam's Club could pull up online said that while the Scientist could upgrade his phone at the super-discounted price, I was not eligible. WTF? I have a text message on my phone from
queenofalostart dating to March 2006. My phone is OLD, yo. I want a new one! Anyway, we talked to T-Mobile later and they said that they'd re-set the account so that Sam's Club can (hopefully) view me as eligible, and I can get a new phone today. We'll have to see what happens when I head over there tonight.
The Scientist and I have been watching The Middleman all weekend. Hot damn, I love that wacky show. That is all.
This weekend I booked the second half of the Super Family Vacation. My father-in-law is taking all of us (him, his wife, all six kids, two daughters-in-law, and two grandsons) on a 3-day cruise to the Bahamas in October. He had a timeshare booked in Florida for after the cruise, and so some of us were going to stay there for a few days post-cruise to get in some more vacation time. Originally it was supposed to be him, his wife, two daughters, one son, and the Scientist and me. He and I thought that was too many people to stay at the timeshare condo, so we decided to stay at one of the Walt Disney World hotels. This weekend I booked us for two nights at the All-Star Movies hotel (it's the off-season sale, so we got the room for 28% off), along with two-day park passes with the park-hopper option. The Food & Wine Festival is going on at Epcot while we're there, so we'll hit that up. And then we'll hit up some of the other parks when we can (taking advantage of the extra hours that come as a perk of being a resort guest).
I'm looking forward to this vacation. It will be nice to just relax on the cruise ship. I have no idea what we'll do in Nassau; has anyone been there before? What would you recommend doing? I wouldn't mind going snorkeling again. I enjoyed it in Cozumel, and I'm assuming the water would be better for snorkeling in the Bahamas. And then it will be nice to do a quickie Disney trip. At this point, it might end up being just me, the Scientist, and his sister J, as his brother and sister S don't want to go. Who knows what his parents will decide to do for that part of the vacation. Anyway, I'm glad the Scientist and I were at Disney World a few years ago, so that we won't feel like we're missing out on a lot by only going for two days.
This weekend is Spring Awakening. I have no idea what to expect.
My sister and her family are coming to town this weekend. I am looking forward to seeing them all again.
Terminator Salvation is playing at the Scientist's theater. I may see it this week with one of our friends.
aj, are you still interested in hanging with us? Tuesdays and Thursdays work well, and possibly Friday (if the Scientist isn't working, which he doesn't think he is).
And that's all I got.
